We are so proud to announce the debut of our new website! After 35 years, we decided that it was time to step up our online presence. This site that not only looks beautiful, but it offers tons of information about what we do – and most importantly, why we do it.
Taking our mission to heart.
When the Windy Hill Foundation Charter Board was formed in Rene Llewellyn’s home in 1981, no one knew that our mission would expand in the way that it did. We firmly believe that providing safe, decent, and affordable housing is merely a way to support our community. By encouraging self-sufficiency and self-improvement, we know that many of our residents will come back to Windy Hill Foundation one day as volunteers or donors, ready to lend a hand to someone else who needs it.
Our programs are really the soul of our foundation. From after-school activities and tutoring to dental checks and summer camps, we want to ensure that the Windy Hill children have a healthy support system in place. Our seniors are also a priority. They’ve contributed so much to the community, so it’s only fitting that we give them a little back. Bingo nights, health screenings, and Friday Feasts are all successful programs that keep our seniors engaged and their bellies full.
Look around and see what you think.
We bet that you’ll find something interesting on the new site – or maybe just something you never knew that Windy Hill did. Reach out and let us know what you think! If you find that there’s a program you’d love to get involved in, tell us. We’re always searching for volunteers to keep our services running. If you’d like to help in other ways, let us know about that, too. Windy Hill Foundation has come a long way in 35 years, and we have big plans for the next 35!
