Raise the Paddle
This year we are focusing on the most basic needs for Windy Hill families experiencing a financial burden due to Covid-19. The effects of the pandemic will be with us for many months ahead. Our goal is to keep all Windy Hill residents fed and housed with access to basic utilities, including critical internet services. Please join us by Raising Your Paddle – your donation, no matter the amount, will go toward helping our residents, young and old alike, stay healthy and housed during the pandemic. To make a 100% tax deductible gift to Raise the Paddle, click here.

Windy Hill Foundation is proud to announces its most important fundraising event of the year, the 2020 Gala, “Our Hometown.” Due to the Coronavirus, we have chosen not to host an in-person event this year. Instead, we hope all of our loyal Gala patrons will celebrate and support the people and places that make up the Windy Hill community in the comfort of their own homes. We count on your generosity every year to help raise critical funds for affordable housing, as well as for programs and services for families and older adults in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties and this year can be no different.
Although we will miss the enchanting and unforgettable evenings with our sponsors and guests of past galas, we know that such evenings of friendship, music, and commitment will not be lost forever! In its place, at least for this year, we hope you will keep this spirit alive and celebrate Windy Hill in your own way.
We are asking all of our sponsors and supporters to pick a date, raise a glass, and take a moment to consider what a truly important impact your gift will make this year. Windy Hill would like to support your celebration by including in the invitation the opportunity to purchase a “Gala Package” with select dinner, drinks, and more from our local businesses to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
The silver lining of our 2020 Gala is that more of your support will go directly to the programs and services from which our families benefit. Covid-19 has hit the Windy Hill community hard. Individuals and families who may already be financially strapped are facing even more of an economic burden. As Windy Hill continues to address food insecurity, rental assistance demands, and the special attention needed by our school-aged children, we need your support more than ever before. In fact, this year, funds raised from our Raise the Paddle effort will replenish and fortify our emergency fund which covers basic needs for families experiencing a financial burden due to Covid-19. We know the effects of the pandemic will be with us for many months ahead. Our commitment is to ensure our residents remain housed, with basic utilities (including internet connection for our families), and without food insecurity.
